How to get over GYM INTIMIDATION🏋🏻‍♀️❤️

Been getting a ton of questions on how to get over being scared of the weight section/the intimidation of all the “big scary guys” so thought I’d make a post about it. The main thing to remember that everyone started in the same place as you! When I first started weight training I was definitely intimidated by the weight section but here are some tips that I used to get over it:

1️⃣ Go at off times🕐- this is good because there’s less people and you can also play around with more equipment if you’re just starting off. Working at a gym I can say that the best times to go would be before 9:00am or mid day around 12-2!
2️⃣ Wear something that makes you FEEL good👚- Being confident is important so make sure you wear something that makes you feel comfortable!! For some people that’s a crop top and leggings and for others it’s a baggy shirt and sweatpants. Wear what makes you feel good!
3️⃣ Go in with a plan🗒 – if you know exactly what you have to do, you can get in and out without standing there trying to figure out where to go which can sometimes be awkward. When I first started I would watch videos and write the workout in my phone! .

💫 Be consistent and just do it! The only way to get rid of the initial fear is to dive head first and just venture into the weight section. Once you start going every day you’ll get comfortable with it and realize that it really isn’t scary!
