Shaking up my usual Sunday morning oatmeal with this CHOCOLATE QUINOA PORRIDGE ✨ I spent this morning sipping morning coffee, eating breakfast and reading while enjoying the blanket of snow outside ❄️ I’m usually a huge fan of oatmeal, but this quinoa porridge is a great alternative if you’re looking to shake things up a bit, or if you want something something higher in protein🌿.
To make 👇🏼:
Bring 1/2 cup of quinoa in 1 cup of plant-based milk, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, a pinch of salt + 1 tbsp maple syrup to a low boil, then cover and let simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes fully cooked. Once it’s cooked, add any toppings of your choice – I caramelized a banana in 1 tsp of coconut oil, then added a handful of frozen berries, a sprinkle of hemp hearts + a spoonful of peanut butter.
