January 1st will always be a special date for me. After years and years of yoyo dieting, becoming obsessed with exercise and then falling off the bandwagon, bingeing and restricting food and all the inbetweens, Jan 1st 2014 marked the first day of my journey. A journey I honestly thought would only last a few weeks before I gave up again, but not this time. This time I was DETERMINED! I told myself I could do it. I told myself there was no going back. I wanted to feel HEALTHY, HAPPY & CONFIDENT

I can proudly say that that’s exactly how I have felt over these past few years since starting this journey – and it honestly only gets better. My goals aren’t to look a certain way anymore, it’s to feel a certain way. I love how exercise and eating healthy makes me FEEL. I feel light, energetic, confident, active, healthy and FREE. I used to obsess over the number on the scale, the food I ate and the way I looked in the mirror. I would literally cry every time I tried on clothes because I felt disgusting and because Of my “pear” shape body, nothing ever fit me well

I’m definitely not perfect, I still have my insecurities and I still have bad days where I hate what I look like or how I feel, but for the most part, I feel amazing. I also just want to preface that it’s not about size. Please do not compare yourself to anyone else you see online or in person, every body is so different and so beautiful, I just want you to see it for yourself
