Getting healthy means creating a healthy mindset too! 🧠 💫
.
While changing habits may not be easy, the reward is absolutely worth it. Part of the trick when it comes to getting healthy is to reframe some of your negative attitudes toward making changes in a more positive light.
.
Instead of “I can’t eat that” try to think of all the wonderful, yummy foods you get to try and have fun with it! Remember, healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring.
.
Instead of focusing on the areas of your body you don’t like, celebrate it for the weekly progress you’re making and try to stay away from comparing yourself to others. Are you able to do more push-ups? Lift heavier? Run further? Those are all wins!
.
Instead of focusing on looks alone or just the number on the scale, use an array of measurements and motivations. Think about how much better you’re feeling. In addition to the scale, use progress pics or how your clothes are fitting to help you gauge your success to.
.
At the end of the day, tying a greater WHY to your motivation to get healthy will help you stay committed through the ups and downs. For me, I know I won’t perform well or feel my best unless I get my workout in and stay on track with my eating. What’s your deeper motivation?
.
Hope you found this helpful.

Amanda
